The Dynatrol CL-10 G Series level detectors provide for high level overfill protection or can monitor low and intermediate points. They operate with accurate and consistent results on problem applications that have a tendency to bridge and “pack-out,” noted the manufacturer.
The G Series detectors handle precipitated and fine, light weight chemical powders with a bulk density as low as 1 lb./cu. ft. with great success. They also easily manage a variety of heavier bulk solids in the density range of 10 to 15 lb./cu. ft.
The detectors provide superior performance in dusty environments and specialized units can handle temperatures exceeding 300°F. All level detectors are calibrated at the factory, do not require any field calibration before installation, and are approved for Class I, Group D; Class II, Groups E, F & G; and Class III services.
The G Series level detectors contain no moving parts, gaskets or seals and rely on mechanical oscillations to determine if the probe is covered or uncovered. Signals from the detector operate a single pole double throw relay within the control unit and the relay contacts can be used to actuate alarms, indicator lights or process control equipment.
Installation is simple. The level switch is mounted through a ¾-in. half-coupling at the point of desired level detection on hoppers, silos or bins.
